Why are Rivers Important?
Rivers are very important to people. They benefit both humans, and animals. Without rivers, life would be so much
harder. So, on this page, you're going to see how much rivers benefit our life!
Rivers are roads for boats, ships, etc. They are great for transporting goods, and leisurely rides. I remember in the summer, I used to go kayaking on a river, and it was really fun. :)
Rivers also help both animals and people with resources. For animals, they provide food and shelter, and for people, they provide water, for drinking, and seafood!
(Sorry, animals!)
Land by the river has fertile soil. This makes the valleys near rivers excellent for farming! This is the preferred soil for farmers.
